Heineken launch of a new exclusive aluminium bottle with a twist: The Heineken STR Bottle.

In 2011 Heineken launched a new exclusive bottle, which is only available at the most high-end nightclubs, VIP venues and special events around the world.

The STR bottle not only has a powerful graphic look, but there’s more than meets the eye…. When exposed to UV light, hidden ink suddenly flares up on the bottle surface and reveals a bright-glowing design; an intricate pattern of stars and trails.

I was part of the creative team at iris Amsterdam (Merien Kunst and Pascal Duval) that was responsible for the way this bottle was launched, the key visuals, the look & feel and design of all Heineken STR items such as fridges, ice buckets, barblades and luminated signs.
